This gorgeous and spacious 2 bedrooms apartment is located on the ground floor of a traditional Lisbon tile facade building recently renovated, on a quiet and safe street close to the main and exclusive avenue in Lisboa, Avenida da Liberdade, and where you'll find most of the world's famous fashion/jewellery stores.
Av. da Liberdade is a tree-lined avenue with cobbled mosaics, more than 1km long and was rebuilt between 1879/1882 inspired by the style of the Champs Elysées. It stays since then as one of the main arteries of the city of Lisboa and certainly the most emblematic.
The neighbourhood itself is plenty of multiple type of restaurants, cafés and terraces, classy hotels, antique shops, art galleries and designers boutiques.
The apartment is located on a slope, half-way from the trendy areas of Príncipe Real and Bairro Alto (going up) and downtown Lisboa. Just 500m around the apartment you have 2 metro stations (Rato and Avenida) and a dozen of bus lines that will take you everywhere in the city. And even the train station for you to go to Sintra is only at 15mn walking distance.
On the back of the apartment's courtyard there's the Botanical gardens of the Lisboa University so an invigorating breakfast on our garden table and chairs at the morning sound of the birds is something you can count on.
The apartment consists on 2 bedrooms (1 double bedroom and 1 with 2 single beds), wooden heated floor in all the apart, big and fully fitted kitchen with 4 ring stove, oven, Nespresso coffee machine, refrigerator and freezer, washing/dryer machine, microwave, hob, toaster, electric kettle... with table seating 6 and a huge living room with two big sofas, large flat tv, wifi internet that makes it the ideal place for a pleasant holiday for up to 4 guests.
The bathroom has a bathtub, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
A damage deposit of €150 in cash as to be paid on arrival to cover serious damages on the apartment that may occur. It will be returned to you on checkout if nothing serious happens.

Très bel appartement, spacieux, bien meublé et bien entretenu. Il est bien situé et à distance de marche de la belle Avenida da Liberdade qui mène vers le centre ville et le Tage.
Tout est conforme aux photos de l'annonce. Cuisine bien équipée, il y a même une cafetière Nespresso, ce qui est rare dans les appartements loués pour touristes! La terrasse, très ensoleillée jusqu'au milieu de la journée, devient un havre de fraîcheur le soir venu. Le quartier est urbain mais tranquille et agréable où l'on trouve d'excellents restaurants. Dans de telles conditions notre séjour à Lisbonne fut évidemment agréable.
Le portrait ne serait pas complet sans parler de Paulo, notre hôte. Il est venu nous chercher à l'aéroport ce qui fut très apprécié après un long vol de nuit. Paulo, comme beaucoup de portugais de sa génération, parle très bien français. Il est serviable, affable et prévenant. Pour toutes ces raisons, nous n'hésitons pas a recommander cet appartement et nous sommes certain d'y retourner un jour.

From the moment we made contact with Paulo, our experience was perfect. After an exhausting trip from the States, being picked up at the airport was much appreciated. He gave us a tour of the neighborhood by car so we could get our bearings and sent to us, ahead of time, a list of things to do and places to eat -- the restaurants were terrific. We asked for recommendations to experience Fado music and we very much enjoyed our outing to hear 4 fantastic singers.
The photos of the apartment do represent reality! But what you can't see is that the beds were comfortable, the apartment spotless and the kitchen well stocked. I agree with my fellow reviewers that the apartment is in a wonderful location, within walking distance of many points of interest. The neighborhood is chock full of good places to eat, to relax, to shop, to snack.
We spent 5 wonderful days here and will return. Paulo is an extraordinary ambassador for Portugal!

A really fantastic appartment in a fine location, near the metro but you can also easily reach e.g. Praca do Rossio. The appartment was very clean, the kitchen full-stuffed (although you don't really need this in Lissabon;)) and you have the possibility to start the day with a cup off coffee on the terrace. The contact with Paulo was really pleasant, his son managed the handover and we enjoyed the service to be picked up for the airport. Thanks a lot, Paulo and Martim, all has been great !

We can say only the best things about this place and the host. Paulo was extremely helpful and made every effort to make sure that our stay in Lisbon was enjoyable. He picked us up at the airport, gave a short introduction to the neighbourhood (by car), provided us with an exhaustive and well thought list of recommendations for places to visit and dine. The place itself is well equipped (you can find even chopsticks) and very conveniently located, one can easily reach most points of interest by foot. Possibility to have a breakfast in the sunny backyard is an extra bonus. Well done Paulo, a definite 5 out 5!

Superbe appartement.
Nous avons été accueillis par Paulo qui parle très bien le Français. L'appartement est conforme aux photos, propre, très joliment décoré très bien équipé et parfaitement situé. A 5 minutes à pieds, 2 stations de métro.
Lisbonne est une ville magnifique. Tout se fait à pied, en tramway, métro, bus...... Merci à Paulo pour cet excellent séjour.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this apartment for a week enjoying Lisbon. The central location made exploring the area by foot easy. Lots of excellent restaurants in the area rounded out my stay.
The owner was exceptionally helpful with lots of recommendations on where to tour as well as eat. He was charming and very friendly which multiplied the pleasure of my stay.

How very fortunate we were to have chosen this apartment for our two day stay in Lisbon. Its location was perfect - close to restaurants, the metro, the main avenue and easy access to downtown. It was super clean and nicely furnished, with all the comforts of home. The courtyard was a pleasing outdoor space to sit in the morning or evening.
Paulo, the owner, is another hidden gem! Being met at the airport was such a bonus. He was so friendly and helpful, offering all kinds of interesting information to help make our trip more enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone.

3 appartements, 3 quartiers différents ... pour un super séjour de 15 jours à Lisbonne. C'est une très bonne façon de découvrir la ville sous des angles différents ! Et c'est ce que nous a proposé Paulo, notre très sympathique hôte, qui parle impeccablement français et qui nous a fourni beaucoup d'informations et de conseils sur la ville avant notre voyage.
La fin de notre séjour de 2 semaines a eu lieu dans ce superbe et très spacieux appartement avec jardin/terrasse, situé près de la grande Avenida da Liberdade, à 5 minutes de la station de métro Avenida (10 quand on remonte ....! ) ou de la station de métro Rato. Très simple de rejoindre Baixa Chiado et la place du commerce près du Tage. Le quartier est très calme. Proche du jardin botanique (qui mériterait un meilleur entretien) et des places Marquēs de Pombal, Restauradores, dom Pedro IV, da Figueira. Central et pratique pour accéder aux divers quartiers de Lisbonne.
L'appartement est très confortable, aménagé avec goût et tout à fait conforme au descriptif ; les grands canapés nous accueillent au retour de nos promenades et le jardin nous permet de dîner dans la douceur de la soirée au calme (ne pas oublier d'arroser les plantes, la terrasse est très très ensoleillée des le matin ! ).
Paulo, notre hôte toujours très prévenant, ne manque jamais de s'assurer que tout va bien et que nous n'avons besoin de rien. Un bien joli séjour, une ville qui regorge de richesses, de bien belles vacances ! Muito obrigada Paulo.

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine dans l appartement de Paulo qui est d une extrême gentillesse et de très bon conseil. De plus, il parle un français impeccable!
L appartement est très spacieux et est pourvu de toutes les commodités . Tout le linge de maison est compris et il est décoré avec beaucoup de goût.
Une adresse à retenir absolument dans une ville magnifique!

My stay in Lisbon at Paulo's apartment was fantastic due to several reasons. First of all, Paulo was very kind to pick me up at the airport and drive me to his apartment. The apartment is located very centrally (near the famous Avenida da Liberdade) and in a very quiet area so there is no noise. In addition, the apartment is completely refurbished, it is very clean and it has all the necessary facilities to make someone feel right at home. I do not have a single complaint and my stay in this apartment made me feel perfectly comfortable in Lisbon. I would recommend everyone to stay in Paulo's apartment, as it is also very spacious and enjoyable. Whether you come for business or leisure, this place will suit your needs. I will definitely stay there every time I come to Lisbon. Thank you Paulo!

The avenue is also the site for one of the highlights of the city's feast parade on the night of June 12, when all the old and typical neighbourhoods get down the avenue dancing and singing.
At Restauradores Square you have to hop on in the "Glória Funicular" that is linking downtown to Bairro Alto since 1885. Up there (really in front of the finucular stop) and before start a tour in Bairro Alto and Chiado and the beautifull St. Roque church, delight yourself with the great view from Miradouro S. Pedro Alcântara.
